About The Position

The duties, tasks, and functions listed below combine to help define this position within the Company but should not be interpreted as exhaustive of all responsibilities the position may require. Price projects ranging small to large estate residential, multi-family, and light commercial Design and document service details, generator installations, and electrical systems according to local and national standards. Review all job set-ups, specifications, and plans, verify purchase orders, order materials and print jobs for crews. Manage jobs by monitoring and assisting the workflow; communicating with the Market Manager, Construction manager, Site Scheduler, employees, warehouse personnel, builders, and others; assists in ensuring jobs are completed safely, accurately, and timely. Communicate with the Market Manager, Construction manager and scheduler regarding any issues with each job, to report job progress, and to let them know when the crew will be ready for another job. Communicate with the Scheduler to ensure that any incomplete items are on the schedule and follow up that the items are confirmed as completed. Communicate with Market Manager for any back charges for incomplete jobs or any other issues with subcontractors. Communicate with builders regularly throughout the job to ensure we are servicing their account to the fullest. Answer phone calls and emails from the builders and try to assist with their requests when applicable or forward their requests to our Scheduler. Communicate with the Market Manager, Construction manager, and the Scheduler to help them schedule any requests sent in from our customers. Log into schedules throughout the week to review and send feedback to the Market Manager, Construction manager and scheduler. Work with builders, construction managers, and crews to coordinate pricing, approval, execution, and billing of change orders Understand and manage builder/client expectations and work to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. Price and compile billing information for change orders, projects, and service work for invoicing. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • The ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to read and write in English proficiently, including interpreting documents, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, invoices, shipping/packing lists, and materials lists.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with vendors, service dealers, customers and all levels of company personnel.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Experience pricing and managing electrical projects of varied nature consisting of various applications
  • In depth understanding of the current and recent NEC codes
  • Experience with generator installations and requirements.
  • Experience performing electrical design and calculations including but not limited to, wiring diagrams, riser details, load calculations, voltage drop, wire sizing, and pipe fill.
  • Experience coordinating with local inspection and permitting departments and utilities.
  • Experience in lighting design, specification, and dimming protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in a technical or engineering-related field or bachelor's or graduate's degree in business, computer science, engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent field experience is preferred.
  • Certifications are a plus.
  • Master Electricians license is a plus.
