About The Position

Red Canyon Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a federal innovation and technology transition program in Washington, DC. This senior-level role provides project and program management support to government leadership and cross-functional teams, helping plan, coordinate, and execute initiatives that support the development and transition of advanced capabilities. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with government stakeholders, program managers, and technical teams to manage schedules, coordinate program activities, support strategic planning efforts, and ensure successful delivery of mission-critical initiatives. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills as well as experience supporting complex federal programs. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in program or project management supporting complex initiatives.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of advanced education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal government programs of similar size, scope, and complexity.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, scheduling, planning, and risk management practices.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder initiatives and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level briefings, reports, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and modern collaboration or project management tools.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.

  • Experience supporting federal research, development, innovation, or technology transition programs.
  • Familiarity with defense acquisition or government program management environments.
  • Professional certifications related to project or program management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program and project management support to government leadership in executing program lifecycle activities.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of program schedules, project plans, and tracking systems used to monitor tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate program reviews, technical meetings, and working groups, documenting key outcomes and action items.
  • Support planning, organizing, and management of activities related to the development, production, and deployment of capabilities, systems, or technologies.
  • Identify potential program risks and support the development of mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and performance objectives.
  • Prepare executive-level briefings, reports, and documentation to support leadership decision-making.
  • Facilitate coordination among government personnel, partner organizations, and stakeholders involved in program execution.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, schedule adherence, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of program management processes and tools.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
