About the Role The Senior Retail Project Manager is responsible for project management and design resourcing for in-store retail & event projects covering Dyson’s Americas region. The Senior Retail Project Manager is required to understand global and market New Product Development (NPD) calendars, priorities, and strategies to ensure resourcing is managed effectively with early risk identification to mitigate resourcing gaps and/or bottlenecks. As an extension of Group, they will report into the Global Sr. Programme Manager and liase closely with US/CA/MX Retail Marketing Leads & Design Teams.

Requirements

  • Relationship management - comfortable making connections with the cross-functional teams – insights, category, strategy, creative, Group, other CoEs
  • Roll up your sleeve's mentality – willing to challenge yourself to navigate through challenges and solve problems in one minute, and get down into the weeds the next
  • Demonstrated experience of design, production, and project management processes.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing technical drawing packs (developed by Retail Designers and/or Dyson’s suppliers).
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, Marketing, Project Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience working in a CPG or consumer durables company
  • Working within organizations that have an integrated approach to marketing – not a singular channel focus
  • Expert knowledge in PPM Pro, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Develop project timelines for key regional initiatives, including NPD launches across markets
  • Manage intake of all regional briefs. Review incoming briefs with Sr. Production Manager and lead designer to ensure projects are properly scoped and can be kicked off to creative team.
  • Define the scope of projects, manage resourcing within the team and highlight needs to increase resourcing when needed.
  • Understand the asks and help determine value of projects and prioritization of what is most critical to work on.
  • Manage changes in scope and understand the implications of them, communicate to the cross-functional teams, and escalate where necessary.
  • Lead status meetings with internal Americas Regional teams (US, Canada & Mexico) as well as international teams at Group (HQ) and other regions.
  • Cascade key information from Group relating to NPD and other retail projects with campaign kits, copy matrices, order forms and other project communication to relevant market stakeholders.
  • Oversee high-level team repivoting on projects and launch readiness to keep all regional Marketing and Retail Marketing partners informed.
  • Create contingency plans and lead crisis response efforts to navigate disruptions, ensuring projects stay on track while minimizing impacts on deliverables and timelines
  • Develop and leverage data dashboards and analysis tools to track project metrics, resource allocation, and financial performance, enabling data-driven decision-making and reporting.
  • Owner of process improvements to enhance project management. Including but not limited to Tracking and reporting on projects through dashboards and rollup. Team Capacity dashboards for Design, Project Management and Production Resources. System rollouts and enhancements (ways to more efficiently project manage and track project status).
  • Be the CoE Champion to communicate and train new global processes relating to Project Management and all other CoE project tracking, systems rollouts, training, and documentation.
  • Optimize brief intake, learning from what works and be willing to flex and drive change.
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to overcome said bottlenecks
  • Act as a gatekeeper of Dyson’s story, heritage, ethos and brand on all content platforms and ensure we are always producing best-in-class, locally relevant content within the strict Dyson reputation parameters.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end event management processes, including budget planning, vendor coordination, on-site logistics, and post-event evaluations to ensure seamless and impactful experiences aligned with brand objectives.
