Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
10+ years of experience in project management for public sector capital projects
Demonstrated experience delivering DSA projects in California
Strong knowledge of DSA processes, documentation, and regulatory requirements
Experience managing K-12 and/or higher education facility projects
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, PE, or AIA
Experience working with California school districts or community college districts
Familiarity with project management and construction tools (e.g., Procore, CMIS, Bluebeam)
Experience with bond-funded programs or large capital improvement programs

Responsibilities

Lead full lifecycle project delivery for DSA-regulated projects including planning, design, construction, closeout.
Serve as primary point of contact for clients, design teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Manage and coordinate DSA submissions, approvals, back-checks, and closeout documentation.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, risk management, and reporting.
Facilitate design coordination meetings and constructability reviews.
Monitor construction progress, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Ensure compliance with DSA requirements, California Building Code, and accessibility standards.
Support procurement processes, including RFP development and contractor selection.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and project teams.
Identify risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
