As the Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving the successful, on-time execution and delivery of creative projects through the development of tailored project plans and timelines; proactively identifying, monitoring, problem-solving, and communicating potential roadblocks of all communication projects for Calvary Chapel. In this role, you will lead a team of Project Managers and partner with all creative teams and ministry partners to ultimately play a part in seeing lives changed. You will review and evaluate the nature and scope of projects to better understand the next course of action and ensure that projects are processed accordingly. Using these skills, you will help ensure projects are appropriately resourced, requirements are neatly collected, project status is clearly communicated regularly, and deadlines are met. You’ll need an in-depth understanding of the Communications & Media Team’s roles and processes as you work across teams to assist them. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of Communications/marketing/film/media production and a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5–7 years of experience in project management or related field.
  • Great interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and/or mentor team members, fostering a positive team environment and culture ability to lead end-to-end annualized Project Management activities: road mapping, forecasting, programmatic planning, resourcing, and calendaring.
  • The ability to organize and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Conflict management and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mentality.
  • The ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent people service skills, with the ability to provide service and streamline processes without compromising the integrity of the core values of the church.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a highly engaged, effective team of Project Managers who consistently deliver multiple, concurrent projects: on time and on budget.
  • Receive, review for accuracy, enter, and process CPRFs (Communications Project Request Form).
  • Connect with ministry partners to seek out clarification of requests and/or collect missing information for the successful initiation and completion of projects.
  • Partner with team managers on implementation and execution of creative team project plans; including scheduling review meetings, defining and communicating feedback cycles, and consistently following up to ensure projects are on track.
  • At the discretion of the Assistant Director, lead project status and resource management.
  • Meetings with the team, including defining meeting objectives and structure and maintaining all necessary meeting notes.
  • Master and utilize PM software tools to successfully navigate creative teams through project workflow and deliverables as well as capture key project data to support business initiatives, decisions, goals, and growth.
  • Key stakeholder in how the full funnel process works for all project requests, providing feedback and key insights to the Director and Assistant Director of Communications, strategically influencing solutions from the PM vantage point.
  • Help manage milestones for the Communication team–ensuring every person working on a project has the right tools and files to complete their assignment.
  • Meet regularly with team managers to provide updates on project status.
  • Proactively identify roadblocks and collaborate on determining viable solutions.
  • Provide continual updates on projects and their status and drive communication across all teams working on deliverables.
  • Ready to facilitate meetings with appropriate stakeholders for the successful completion of projects.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform high-quality, detailed work with minimum supervision within assigned deadlines.
  • Establish follow-up and feedback processes with ministries to ensure that needs are being met.
  • Assist in production and vendor management in the absence of the Assistant Director of Communications & Vendor Manager.
  • Meet with the Media team regularly to evaluate needs based on projects.
  • Foster increased collaboration with key departments.
  • Keep team accountable for shared workspace being kept neat.
  • Perform other department-related tasks as needed and assigned by the department lead.
