About The Position

AlleraIT Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a short-term Business Process Discovery engagement supporting a local government client’s system modernization initiative. This role functions as an independent consultant and serves as the single point of accountability for delivering defined discovery and planning outcomes. The position is hands-on and focused on execution of stakeholder engagement, workflow analysis, and requirements documentation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related IT field
  • Demonstrated experience leading business process discovery initiatives or organizational change projects
  • Strong background in workflow analysis and documentation
  • Experience supporting legacy-to-modern system transitions
  • Proven ability to translate user needs into structured requirements
  • Expertise with process mapping methodologies and tools
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting government or public-sector clients
  • PMP or similar Project Management certification
  • Solid experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with process mapping tools (Visio or similar), Microsoft Project, and Office tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Business Process Discovery activities
  • Plan and manage discovery schedules, milestones, and deliverables
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions
  • Document current-state (AS-IS) workflows and system interactions
  • Identify process inefficiencies and modernization opportunities
  • Develop future-state (TO-BE) workflow recommendations
  • Gather, analyze, and categorize functional and technical requirements
  • Produce procurement-ready documentation and final discovery reports
  • Prepare and maintain Program & Project Plans
  • Develop Contract Management and Quality Control Plans
  • Provide regular status updates and briefings to client leadership
