TRC is looking for an Operational Technology (OT) / Information Technology (IT) Senior Project Manager to join our team. The particular focus for this role is Gas SCADA. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gas SCADA Senior Project Manager to lead a complex gas transmission SCADA replacement project. The ideal candidate will possess advanced project management expertise, technical acumen, and leadership capabilities to deliver strategic energy initiatives that align with our organization's goals.   • Strategic Project Leadership: Oversee and manage the successful delivery of large-scale, complex technology deployment projects within the energy sector.
  • Develop and implement project strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Serve as the principal point of accountability for project outcomes and financial management, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
  • Facilitate regular project updates, status meetings, and presentations for executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that project objectives and expectations are clearly communicated and understood by all parties.
  • Technical Oversight and Systems Integration: Lead the deployment and integration of complex technology systems, including hardware, software, and communications technologies, ensuring seamless interoperability.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design, implement, and optimize technology solutions supporting electric and gas utility operations.
  • Ensure all systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor multidisciplinary project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers, engineers, and other team members, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Resolve conflicts and promote a positive working environment to achieve project goals.
  • Risk Management and Performance Optimization: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential issues to maintain project momentum.
  • Monitor project performance using advanced metrics, KPIs, and reporting tools to ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned and best practices from completed projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in the gas utility sector.
  • Proven expertise in managing multi-million-dollar projects involving energy utility technologies, or advanced grid technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of energy technologies, particularly Gas SCADA but including utility operations and electric/gas grid infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, Jira).
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., PHMSA, NERC, ISO).
  • Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills with a track record of managing diverse teams.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
  • A master's degree or advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe) is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of AVEVA Enterprise SCADA 2025 preferred.
