Job Description Senior Project Manager Foster City, CA The Device, Packaging, and Process (DPP) function is a key component of Gilead’s Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing (PDM) organization, providing a portfolio of technologies for selection and implementation by product teams. These technologies enable product teams to develop and execute a strategy to differentiate our products and ensure Gilead is highly competitive in commercial markets. The Senior Project Manager collaborates and drives alignment with DPP combination product teams and directs the execution of project plans.

Requirements

• A B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, bioengineering, or a related scientific field with 8+ years of relevant experience OR A M.S. degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
• Must be able to exercise judgment within well-defined and established procedures and policies in order to determine and take appropriate action.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is preferred
• Medical device or combination product experience, particularly auto-injectors, is preferred
• PMP certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones and resource allocations
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and objectives
• Monitor progress against plan, identify potential risk and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Effectively communicate ideas, project goals, and results to team members across functions and departments, including device development, packaging, quality, regulatory affairs and manufacturing.
• Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, senior management and external partners or customers.
• Identify opportunities for and drive process improvement and optimization efforts.
