About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals on our Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) Program. CAEIO provides IT Operations and Maintenance to modernize the legacy networks, applications, and databases supporting consular applications and services globally. The Project Manager will promote increased adoption of Agile methodologies across a large portfolio of projects. The Project Manager will leverage Agile and Jira expertise, applying best practices across the program while managing projects and workflows, creatively solving problems, tracking work items, and identifying and implementing continuous process improvement opportunities to mature the program. Responsibilities Lead and coach cross-functional teams in Agile frameworks, principles, and best practices to deliver high-quality products and services. Configure and optimize Jira workflows, boards, dashboards, filters, and automations to enhance visibility and execution. Assess customer priorities and requirements to tailor Agile practices that align with mission objectives. Develop comprehensive, executive-level dashboards that provide essential Agile information to program leadership. Manage IT projects using Agile methodologies, including planning timelines, coordinating resources, and tracking milestones and deliverables. Partner with technical and program leadership to track work, identify risks, resolve issues, and implement continuous process improvements that advance Agile maturity. Collaborate effectively with government customers and cross-functional contract teams. Core Work Schedule: 8:00 AM ET - 4:00 PM ET (flexible), Monday - Friday. Work Location: Must be local to Washington, DC area. This position is currently hybrid with remote work and up to 2 days per week in the Peraton office in Sterling, VA, and/or customer site in Washington, DC. The number of days in office is subject to change based on program or government requirements.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET Government Security Clearance.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (Product Management, Kanban, Scrum, hybrid frameworks, and Jira).
  • Experience working in project management for software development, database management, infrastructure, or network environment projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute governance structures, reports/dashboards, performance management tools, and knowledge sharing tools (e.g., Jira, SharePoint, Confluence).
  • Excellent communications, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and executive leaders.
  • Experience providing operational task support in a highly demanding environment.
  • Experience applying industry standards and best practices to advance operational excellence.
  • 12 years of experience, including:
  • 10–12 years of industry experience, which may include supervisory or lead responsibilities.
  • 5–7 years of project management experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading high visibility projects within a federal contracting or IT modernization environment.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for ITSM, request management, and incident tracking.
  • PMP and/or Agile certifications (PMI-ACP, SAFe, or CSM).
