About The Position

Author proposals and cost estimates. Supervise the project team. Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes. Request information from various governmental and regulatory organizations. Ability to author, review, and revise regulatory plans, including SPCC and SWPPP plans. Ability to review project deliverables and mentor junior staff on Compliance subject matter and project management. Effectively and professionally interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations including Clean Water Act (Stormwater, wastewater, etc.) Oil Spills Prevention and Preparedness Regulations (SPCC, FRP, Contingency Plans, etc.) Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Hazardous Waste Management Special and Universal Waste Management Clean Air Act New Source Performance Standards National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act Toxic Substances Control Act & Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, Rodenticide Act
  • Superior research and technical writing skills are required with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of maps and aerial photography.
  • Capable of managing deadline-driven projects and workload.
  • Ability to understand and interpret regulatory guidelines.
  • Analyze numerical and graphic data.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports.
  • Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
  • For insurability purposes a valid Driver's License is required.
  • Five (5) years project management experience is required.
  • Five (5) years of compliance/environmental regulatory and permitting related work history is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geoscience, Physical Science, Environmental Science or a closely related field required.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT and Hazmat Physical

Nice To Haves

  • Class E Driver's License is preferred. Must be able to attain class E within first week of employment, if not.
  • Previous environmental consulting experience preferred including but not limited to RCRA, SPCC and NPDES.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certified strongly preferred.
