Within Leidos’ Defense Sector , the Test Instrumentation & Lethal Mechanisms (TI&LM) Portfolio is seeking a Project Manager to support multiple contracts within its Lethal Mechanisms and Effects branch. This project manager will support multiple projects for DoW government customers. This full-time position is based on site at a Leidos facility in Huntsville, AL. Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Project scope & baseline management (i.e. cost, schedule, technical) Regular interfacing and alignment with external customer Communication and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Scheduling, Engineering, Finance, Contracts and Business Development Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders Track project performance and provide regular status reports to leadership Manage scope changes and ensure alignment with project objectives Ensure compliance with company processes, quality standards, and contractual requirements Facilitate project meetings, reviews, and post-project lessons learned Risk, Issue and Opportunity identification and management Proposal basis of estimate (BOE) generation and support

Requirements

  • Requires a BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. (or equivalent experience, training and certifications in lieu of degree).
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Project and scheduling analytics skills.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required)
  • Proactive, self-starter with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Huntsville Alabama; relocation is not offered for this opportunity.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of design / development / prototyping projects
  • Experience supporting government customer base
  • Working knowledge of electromechanical assemblies and/or electronics manufacturing
  • Strong technical and project management background
