About The Position

HireRight is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our PSO Onboarding team. Industry experience is preferred. In this role, you will lead the onboarding process for new customers from point of sale through go live, ensuring a smooth, timely, and compliant implementation. You will ensure all processes align with HireRight’s Legal, Contracts, and Compliance standards while proactively removing obstacles that could impact customer go live timelines. This role requires strong partnership with cross functional teams including Sales, Sales Engineering, Sales Analytics, Account Setup, Credentialing, Account Management, Product, Development, Legal, and Compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience , with emphasis on customer facing projects.
  • Strong business appropriate verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Background Check Industry experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project plans for all new customer onboardings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain frequent, proactive communication with customers throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
  • Lead customer meetings, including agendas, verbal updates, and written follow-ups outlining deliverables and next steps.
  • Research and resolve customer questions promptly, offering process and product based solutions.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges by applying deep functional and technical expertise.
  • Serve as a subject matter specialist with strong knowledge of relevant systems, workflows, and tools.
  • Demonstrate autonomy and ownership in managing tasks and projects without direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • Act as a driving force for innovation, issue resolution, and operational excellence during onboarding.
  • Influence stakeholders, lead tasks and calls with organization and professionalism, and guide customers confidently through complex situations.
  • Manage unexpected issues and complex business challenges using strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams, demonstrating full ownership of project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver hands-on, expert level work that directly contributes to customer readiness and company success.
  • Champion best practices and ensure adherence to HireRight’s legal, contractual, and compliance requirements.
