About The Position

Seeking a Senior Project Manager - Transit Fleet Procurement with well-established direct experience in bus procurement, fleet operations, and maintenance facility management. This role provides technical leadership and day-to-day oversight of multiple bus procurement programs for major transit agencies including new bus deliveries, manufacturing inspections, and quality assurance activities. Provide on-site technical oversight and project management for active bus procurement programs Attend weekly progress meetings and coordinate with manufacturers and agency stakeholders Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and quality assurance in-plant inspections Manage post-delivery inspection (PDI) coordination and bus acceptance Support Buy America compliance audits and documentation Develop technical specifications, warranty, and quality assurance documentation Provide technical presentations to agency leadership and executive committees

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Engineering or related field and ten years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
  • Demonstrated experience with battery electric, diesel hybrid, and alternative fuel bus systems
  • Experience with major bus procurement programs
  • Experience and knowledge of bus manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
  • Experience with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requirements and Buy America regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience communicating effectively across audiences.

  • Senior management experience at major transit agencies
  • 15 years of direct experience in bus fleet procurement and operations
  • Prior consulting experience on transit procurement projects
  • Experience with zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) deployment and electrification
  • Proven experience in facility design and maintenance operations.
