About The Position

We are looking for a talented Process Mechanical Sr. Project Manager / Technical Lead focused on the planning and engineering design of water infrastructure projects who wants to be part of a purpose-driven organization that's focused on helping our clients, colleagues and communities thrive. The role involves identifying, developing, pursuing, and winning projects with new and existing clientele to grow our conveyance trenchless condition assessment and rehabilitation business. The position requires leadership in the execution and delivery of technically complex conveyance projects and provides opportunities for thought leadership through collaboration with research and innovation teams in the development and deployment of innovative technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years related experience in project management, preferably for process mechanical projects
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain license within 6 months
• Demonstrated successful experience in leadership, including defining and setting the direction for a team, project, and office
• Strong understanding of local and regional jurisdictional codes, legal and design requirements
• Broad understanding of municipal engineering, hydraulics, and process mechanical systems design
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic understanding of Revit is a plus
• Strong presentation and communication skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of design professionals and technicians
• Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams
• Perform business development/application tasks and collaborate with staff to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships
• Participate in business line teams to manage and develop proposals
• Client facing for business development contact, meetings, walk-downs, and presentations
• Develop scope of work documents and estimates
• Collaborate with multiple business lines to develop opportunities
• Conduct quality reviews
• Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule
• Perform complex engineering design tasks on assigned wastewater-related projects
• Assist with planning, design, and construction of linear and vertical infrastructure
• Lead or support a team in the planning and execution of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
• Complete conceptual design reports and all planning documents required
• Develop project management plans for projects; establish goals and objectives for unique and complex projects
• Conduct and/or coordinate quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects
• Involved in the permitting process of projects
• Manage projects of varying complexity within multidisciplinary teams
• Assist business leaders in project revenue forecasting
• Oversee proposals including development of the scope and level of effort of comparable size
