Learn more at www.gevernova.com The Senior Project Manager – Steam Power - Nuclear is responsible for Project Management, Planning, and Coordination typically in the context of a Services Project to fulfill GE Vernova’s customer outage requirements for the Nuclear Power Business, according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role is focused on the execution of outage activities, within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
• 10 years of experience within the power generation or industrial manufacturing industry.
• 5 years of relevant project management (or similar) experience within the power generation or industrial manufacturing industry.
• Ability to gain unescorted access to a Nuclear power facility in Canada or U.S.
• Ability to travel, up to 30% annually, domestically and internationally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
• Ability to work at customer site as required

Nice To Haves

• P. Eng. Certification in Canada or P.E. License in the US
• PMP Certification
• Experience with Steam Power systems either in a Nuclear, Fossil or Industrial power plant setting
• Practical knowledge of GE Vernova products is a plus but not necessity
• Ability to adapt to changing technology
• Attention to detail and time management skills to ensure deadlines are met
• Clear thinker, detail oriented, insightful, quantitative, and results oriented – Able to make reasoned, sound, and timely decisions
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills for technical and business audiences

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and working knowledge of Primavera P6

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership and guidance from project conception through to project delivery; to the customer and to conduct project feedback reviews at the appropriate time
• Development and management of costs with ongoing estimates to completion of projects
• Development, planning and management of the project schedules and payment milestones, while providing contingency planning where required, to ensure a timely delivery
• Managing the contractual scope content ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed
• Risk and Opportunity management. Ensuring that all risks and issues are identified and mitigated
• To communicate effectively with all the stakeholders, both internal and external while maintaining excellent relations with customers, peers, Engineering, and global teams
• It is expected that this position will act as the focus for project-based activities and perform other related duties as assigned or requested
