About The Position

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Remediation to join our Remediation team based in Piscataway, New Jersey. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services to our key clients. The successful candidate will assume leadership roles on projects and within the department, and will develop strong relationships with the team, and with clients to enable the pursuit of new opportunities. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and work both independently and as a part of a project team. The successful candidate will be committed to the team’s success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; will manage the technical, cost and schedule elements of project delivery; and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System. The job responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
  • 9+ years of experience in environmental investigations and site remediation
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Seller-doer with business development and client management experience
  • Experience as a project manager and technical lead on remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, and remedial action oversight
  • Experience delivering remedial projects within the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection framework
  • Strong understanding of remediation system design, cost estimating, construction, and OM&M
  • Experience with the breadth of federal and local environmental laws, such as CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the NY/NJ Remediation Area Manager and other teams within the Remediation department, and professionals within other AECOM internal business lines.
  • Develop new business, including marketing and proposing to potential and existing clients, and be integral in the process of securing and managing clients and contracts.
  • Act as Project Manager on large, complex projects, responsible for technical delivery, schedule management, fiscal management, client liaison, reporting requirements, and coordination with project team members.
  • Coordinate and prepare written reports, work plans, and technical memorandums; analyze data and develop supported conclusions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase project efficiencies, improve technical methodologies and add value to client service offerings.
  • Assist with development of junior staff through mentoring.
