New York, New York, United States of America (Hybrid) As a Senior Project Manager, the Incumbent will be responsible to lead and manage multiple small to medium size projects within the same or similar customer/region. The incumbent will also be responsible for contributing to the company’s financial targets while meeting all deliverables and milestones for the project.

Requirements

  • 15 years of experience in related industry or from technical/aerospace field.
  • 5–10 years of experience as a project manager with people management/leadership experience.
  • University degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunications, or Informatics) or equivalent experience gained through professional practice.
  • Strong technical expertise in Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) railway signaling systems.
  • Previous experience leading international projects in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to deliver under pressure.
  • PMP or IPMA certification.
  • Located in GTA area.
  • Strong English skills.

  • Engineering Degree is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • The Senior Project Manager has the overall projects supervision and is responsible for their project P&L.
  • Coordinate the team regarding resource allocations within the projects with the Project Portfolio Director/Project Director, monitor and control the Projects, and report on overall performance.
  • Drive project execution and controlling until contract closure, supporting the team with a particular focus on: Managing performance, costs, schedule, quality, and risks & opportunities for mitigation actions.
  • Managing interface with key customers, ensuring customer satisfaction for the project(s).
  • Understanding product development dependencies.
  • Implementing, with the support of Operations (PMO), a solid and comprehensive EAC process, sales and cash forecasts and risks & opportunities management.
  • Following Group processes, methods, tools, and practices to deliver projects.
  • Monitoring the performance of the different activities in all work packages.
  • Ensuring lessons learned and driving Projects execution towards continuous improvement. This includes direct contribution to Transformation plans and execution of postmortem Projects lessons learned.
  • Managing URS Projects Management resources in their project(s), ensuring their optimum competence, development, and satisfaction, while supporting the Company’s footprints and SBP business goals.
  • Ensuring the development and training of Project skills and expertise to ensure that the required level is achieved and sustained.
  • Possess the ability to share vision and demonstrate direction from a leadership perspective, fostering a unified path for the projects team in their project(s).
  • Demonstrate strength with compassion, creating an environment where the project team is motivated and focused on the objectives.
  • Display strong communication skills ensuring clarity with senior management, key customers, and the projects teams of their projects.
