About The Position

The Senior Project Manager, Under general direction of either the PMO Director or the Manager of Program Management, oversees high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. In addition to duties of a Project Manager, takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, distributors, and vendors. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. May communicate with a company executive regarding the status of specific projects.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical area of study or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Experience in planning and executing strategic projects
  • Demonstrated communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate ideas
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and priorities.
  • Effectively communicates with executive management

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan the Project
  • This position will be the primary project manager for strategic business critical projects. This position will also need to take on other operations projects to balance the workload.
  • Lead and assist in development of strategic operations projects and programs that will establish quality objectives.
  • Manage teams through all phases of project or product life-cycle development, including analysis, project plan and schedule development, testing periods, installation and final delivery or technical hand-off to receiving department.
  • Interface directly with managers, employees, vendors and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations.
  • Create a work plan that includes a schedule, milestones, control and risk factors.
  • Identify complex risks, lead reviews, create risk mitigation and implement action plans.
  • Manage multiple projects individually and as a team, all simultaneously.
  • Protect confidential and sensitive information.
  • Enhance company and department reputation by accepting ownership, exploring new possibilities and adding value to the organization.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of business strategies, goals and missions.
