This position will be responsible for directing, overseeing and coordinating the activities of their team in the Construction Management and General Contracting marketplace. The role involves assisting in proposal writing, reviewing project proposals, drawings and plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects. The position also coordinates pre-construction services for projects, directs strategic planning, and provides leadership in business development and client relations. Additionally, it includes reviewing project activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine team or division progress toward achievement of stated goals and objectives.

  • Assists in proposal writing and reviews project proposals, drawings, and plans.
  • Coordinates pre-construction services for projects.

  • Assists Director of Operations with work assignments and managing project managers.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Establishes a growing network of business associates, subcontractors, and related vendors.
  • Coordinates with Marketing to help sell Kraus-Anderson capabilities.
  • Maintains memberships or affiliations in civic and professional organizations.
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties.
  • Provides daily, weekly, and monthly schedule support to project team.
  • Prepares project reports for management and clients.
  • Coordinates project activities with governmental regulatory agencies.
  • Meets regularly with Finance to assure projects are progressing as scheduled.
  • Completes and manages work in accordance with the KA Project Managers Manual.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years related work experience.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook) and knowledge of project management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic and uphold company values.
  • Provides guidance and ongoing feedback to team members.
  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related degree.
  • Knowledge of ViewPoint software.
