About The Position

We are partnering with a well-capitalized, long-term real estate development platform to identify a Senior Project Manager focused on land development and horizontal infrastructure . This role plays a critical leadership position within large-scale, master-planned residential and mixed-use developments, overseeing infrastructure from early entitlement through construction delivery. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing civil engineering, utilities, roadway infrastructure, permitting, and agency coordination , and thrives in a collaborative, low-ego environment where projects are built for long-term community impact—not short-term turnover.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Planning (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience delivering large-scale residential or commercial land development projects
  • Strong background in civil/site development, infrastructure, and roadway construction
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure cost estimating, budgeting, and procurement
  • Demonstrated experience working with municipal agencies and regulatory bodies
  • Proven leadership ability with a track record of successfully managing complex, multi-phase developments
  • Ability to balance big-picture strategy with detailed execution
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (Smartsheet experience a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, design, and execution of horizontal infrastructure and site development across large-scale land development projects
  • Oversee master utility infrastructure including roadways, water, wastewater, reclaimed water, stormwater, power, and communications
  • Manage undeveloped land holdings, including permitting, environmental considerations, and agricultural exemptions
  • Coordinate and oversee internal project managers and external consultants, engineers, contractors, and vendors
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with local municipalities, regulatory agencies, and governing authorities
  • Attend and represent projects at public hearings, government meetings, and entitlement discussions
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, procurement tracking, and cost controls
  • Mentor and support junior project managers and technical staff through planning, design, and construction phases
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, quality standards, and internal development objectives
  • Identify critical path activities and proactively drive execution to keep projects on schedule
  • Contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy, development sequencing, and future land planning initiatives
  • Prepare technical documentation, expert reports, and project analyses as required
