Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering or related field required
  • PE Required
  • Must have significant experience executing solar projects of 2mw- full utility scale in the last 5 years
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Desire to work in a very fast-paced team environment.
  • Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.
  • Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience should include a track record of expanding project management duties.
  • Proven experience in project management roles, with a focus on managing larger-scale projects or programs.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree with focus on green energy and or solar is plus
  • Master’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry)

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of engineers and designers to develop civil engineering designs for solar projects throughout the US.
  • Oversee the preparation of all phases of the project including preliminary design visit, conceptual plans, zoning/planning coordination, permit documentation and construction level design plans.
  • Work closely with the Practice Leader to further relationships with existing and new clients to expand workload.
  • Prepare project reports and submittals.
  • Complete site visits as necessary.
  • Work with the Project Assistant on project setup, billing and closeout.
  • Train and mentor staff.
  • Field work to gather existing conditions information and perform construction inspections.
