About The Position

The Senior Project Manager II is responsible for managing complex moderate to large construction projects with the goal of meeting schedule, safety and quality standards, and gross margin projections while maintaining good partner, project team, customer and vendor relationships in accordance with Holland Partner Group's Core Values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of twelve years of experience in the construction industry required, with most of that time spent in project engineering or project management.
  • Design-build and jobsite experience required.
  • Professional engineering or architectural registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate mastery of Senior Project Manager I job functions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in leading the design and entitlement efforts, construction, and close-out on successive large or multiple projects.
  • Review projections (prepared by others), reports of project margin processions, and report significant deviations from the budget.
  • Proven track record of ensuring entitlements are obtained in a timely fashion for the project.
  • Create and/or review and approve proposals and detailed estimates.
  • Oversee the coordination of quality control, safety program, job scheduling and productivity of field operations.
  • Prepare reliable comparison estimates with minimal design documents (conceptual building footprint, ALTA Survey, etc.)
  • Manage design aspects and development of specifications to meet expectations. Responsible for design to be within hard cost budget.
  • Review cost estimates and change orders prepared by others.
  • Develop proposals for construction projects according to customer specifications and in-line with company business plans.
  • Review and approve construction documents and agreements within the scope of their assigned responsibilities.
  • Responsible for monitoring, reviewing and controlling project costs to ensure project completion on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with established goals.
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure their work is being performed according to the schedule and set quality and safety expectations.
  • Co-Lead and participate in company-wide initiatives as requested.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to subordinates on assigned project(s).
  • Work to optimize team effectiveness and lead the project team.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationship with team, company personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor, enforce and maintain job safety for the project by supporting and participating in all safety programs, ensuring all crew is using required safety equipment and continually monitoring the job site to ensure safety requirements are met in accordance with Holland safety policies.
  • Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times.
  • Conform to company apparel standards and set a positive example for all Associates.
  • Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.
