You will be responsible to: Performs Engineering Design, Project Management, and Technical Support activities to Site Operations including Research and Development. Designs, procures, installs and qualifies processes, equipment, instruments, and tests manufacturing facilities to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards. Plans, designs and oversees construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems and components. Analyses and develops solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures. Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures, guidelines and legal requirements and provides advice on issues within the engineering and maintenance field. Provide leadership to teams through subordinate managers or through complex matrix relationships. Integrate and coordinate project work across impacted areas to ensure impact to operations is minimized. Identify and solve complex problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department Actively engage and provide professional support as site SME to project teams in the areas of Design, Project Management, and Controls. Define the work scope and prepare overall schedules and budgets on various sized projects. Assists in developing requirements for budgeting standards. Examine requests for budget revisions, recommend approval or denial and draft correspondence. Present results of cost analysis and project status to Program Director & CAPEX Committee. Assist with updates to projections on cash flows, staffing plans, project progress, and contingency usage. Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with environmental, health & safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice We are looking to recruit a Candidate:

Requirements

  • University degree, or equivalent qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Industrial), Business or Construction Management (mandatory)
  • Extensive experience of Project Management and Controls with a variety of project delivery models (Design-Bid-Build, EPCM, CM).
  • Good experience on risk assessment and risk management for Capex projects
  • Extensive experience with Project Planning and Scheduling using typical market project tools
  • In-depth expertise with cost estimates and cost analysis
  • Specialized knowledge of engineering and construction management
  • Basic understanding of variance analysis
  • Ability to respond to audits
  • Comfortable overseeing complete project life cycle
  • Fluency in English is a requirement
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office package, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
