About The Position

Walter P Moore is looking for an Enclosure Senior Project Manager to closely work with project teams to manage and direct projects from conceptualizing building enclosures, drawing technical details and overseeing construction to deliver a wide variety of projects. Candidate must have experience in the design and/or engineering of a variety of facades including window walls and unitized curtain walls, cladding systems for a variety of materials including assisting with and developing specifications and reviewing shop drawings, testing and construction. In this role as a Senior Project Manager, you will: Assume technical leadership of the projects under your supervision, overseeing all work within. Mentor junior team members in terms of technical delivery as well as design and project management. Lead medium to large teams to deliver large complex enclosure projects both technically and financially successfully. Work closely with Multidisciplinary Engineering teams. Prepare and oversee development of enclosure detailing for client presentations Annotate plan and details, and assisting with writing narratives Attend project meetings and communicate clearly with clients and team members during phases of project development and construction. The Position requires impeccable written and spoken communication skills with frequent interactions with clients, architects, contractors, and owners. Our projects range vastly in scale, detail, and complexity, and this position requires being able to work on multiple projects at a time with engineers and designers from multiple geographic locations.

Requirements

  • 14+ years’ experience in relevant commercial building design as an architectural or structural designer or engineer
  • Extensive knowledge of Enclosure design, materials and systems analysis.
  • Must have extensive understanding of curtain wall, window wall and other cladding technologies.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering with emphasis in Enclosure design and delivery.
  • Strong leadership and communication capabilities necessary to mentor team members
  • Candidates must be proactive, have strong organizational skill, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be client-service oriented
  • Qualified candidates should also possess a high energy level and be a self-motivated professional who can work within a strong team environment, serving clients on major projects throughout the United States and internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • P.E. or AIA in California is preferred; licensure in other states in addition to California favorably plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, AutoCAD and Revit, including parametric modeling and visual programming experience is a plus;
  • Technical specialization, proactivity and aggressiveness when meeting client and project needs, are pluses.
