Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of project and/or program management or related experience preferred.
  • Experience to include program management, engineering resource planning, functional management, engineering planning or operationally related areas.
  • Proven ability to develop, gather, organize, analyze, and interpret data utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of programs required.
  • Proficiency in project and work management software including Primavera (P6) and Power Plant preferred.
  • Familiarity with transmission line and substation engineering, design, permitting, construction, and closeout activities preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • On a monthly basis, track, report, and monitor project, program, or blanket financials and milestones.
  • Identify and monitor risks to the engineering workplans including major permit issues or restrictions, logistical problems, material issues, and cost constraints or contractual problems and recommend appropriate action.
  • Communicate project requirements and schedules to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Leadership and Project Management to develop strategies for the 5+ year workplan.
  • Challenge existing processes and continuously seek ways to do things better to drive greater efficiencies for the business.
  • Produce high level and detailed forecasting models and work schedules to support senior management in defining resource planning strategies.
  • Manage Transmission & Substation Engineering workplans and implement resource strategies to meet regulatory, budgetary, and jurisdictional goals for the New York Electric Portfolio.
  • Analyze and monitor resource and financial forecasts within portfolio using project management software (Primavera P6) for optimal workplan delivery.
