About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex, multi-phase projects in the development of both print and digital literacy products for K–12 education. The Senior Project Manager, ELA, will oversee the full product lifecycle, including prototyping, content development, design, production, and quality assurance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure high-quality deliverables that meet business goals. This position requires strong leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on project management skills to successfully coordinate multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external vendors, proactively mitigating risks, and driving adoption of efficient project processes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of project management experience managing complex, large-scale projects with a bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate risks and make informed decisions.
  • Deep knowledge of project management methodologies with practical experience implementing them across diverse initiatives.
  • Experience with Google Suite and project management tools such as Smartsheet, Workfront, and JIRA.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, including writing SOWs and tracking invoices.
  • Understanding of print and digital production workflows and technical requirements for multiple file formats.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in education technology and curriculum development.
  • Advanced skills with complex Google Sheets for tracking budgets and projects.
  • PMP, CSM, CAPM, or similar project management certification.
  • Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings, set clear priorities, assign responsibilities, and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Continuously improve project management workflows, seeking efficiencies and best practices.
  • Oversee third-party vendor relationships, including managing SOWs, tracking invoices, and ensuring timely payments.
  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize team effectiveness and project outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting open communication, accountability, and mutual respect.
