As a Senior Project Manager, Special Projects, you’ll lead complex, high-impact developments that expand access to affordable housing through innovative partnerships. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in construction, real estate, planning, or related field
  • 5–7+ years of experience in development or project management
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Strong understanding of pre-development, design, and construction
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple priorities
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in project tools (Procore, BuildPro, MS Office)
  • Expert knowledge of building products, plan reading, construction details and relevant construction rules, regulations, and quality standards
  • Mastery of current building codes, regulations, and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Mastery of general carpentry skills and residential construction techniques.
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret into plain English general construction documents and drawings.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety hazards and necessary precautions.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsites and office, a clean driving record and ability to be insured.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle of development projects—from feasibility to closeout
  • Define scope, budgets, and timelines aligned with strategic goals
  • Identify risks and drive proactive solutions
  • Lead feasibility, site planning, and entitlement strategies
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, and consultants
  • Oversee design phases and permitting processes
  • Ensure projects are cost-effective and community-focused
  • Serve as the key contact for developers, municipalities, and partners
  • Support development agreements and partnership structures
  • Align diverse stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
  • Partner with construction teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Monitor progress, budgets, and quality across multiple projects
  • Support issue resolution and change management
  • Work closely with land acquisition, finance, and community engagement teams
  • Ensure alignment with funding requirements and program goals
  • Provide updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage budgets, contingencies, and cost tracking
  • Support financial modeling and funding coordination
  • Prepare materials for executive and board-level reporting
