About The Position

The Senior Project Manager - Commercial & Industrial plays a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the successful completion of large-scale construction projects within the commercial and industrial sectors. This position requires comprehensive management of project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications to ensure projects meet quality standards and client expectations. The role demands strategic planning and problem-solving to navigate complex challenges and regulatory requirements inherent in construction projects. The Senior Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments. Ultimately, this role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality, thereby contributing to the company’s reputation and growth in the construction industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience managing commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or LEED accreditation.
  • Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green construction standards.
  • Experience working on projects with complex regulatory or environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards applicable to commercial and industrial construction.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes to optimize cost efficiency and resource allocation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and team performance.
