About The Position

Alpha Inc. is seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead project execution with clarity, urgency, and impact across our Civil Construction Operations on Oahu. You’ll serve as a mentor and escalation point for Project Managers and Engineers, bringing stability, foresight, and rigor to every phase of execution—from planning to closeout. Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record of leading large teams and managing complex, multi-site construction projects.
  • Strong communication skills—with internal teams, executives, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Mastery of project scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Calm under pressure and skilled at navigating ambiguity with focus and resolve.
  • Commitment to excellence, safety, and high-performance culture.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification (preferred).
  • Experience working in Hawaii or similar remote island project environments.
  • Familiarity with platforms like Procore, HCSS, or comparable project tracking tools.
  • Background in union workforce management or public works contracting.
  • Technical certifications (OSHA 30, QSP) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and guide all project managers and engineers across active jobs.
  • Provide leadership support, resolve conflicts, and ensure strategic alignment across teams.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple concurrent jobs.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality expectations.
  • Monitor budgets, approve expenditures, and maintain financial targets.
  • Allocate resources effectively across manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Liaise with clients, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure clarity and satisfaction.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for critical issues and client-facing challenges.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company standards.
  • Identify risks early and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Offer coaching and development opportunities for team members.
  • Analyze performance and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency.
