About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 5) to join the Apache Production & Fielding team in Mesa, AZ. The selected candidate will lead cross functional teams and work directly with the US Army customer to successfully build and deliver AH-64 E-Model Apache helicopters to the warfighter. This is a critical Apache program role that receives high visibility from Boeing and Army leadership. While this is a US Army Program role, this program leader will lead and support common Apache program objectives that span across Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) programs. The Apache program is looking for a strong, adaptive leader to apply their background and expertise to the dynamic world of Attack Helicopter Programs. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
  • 10+ years' experience communicating with internal and external customers
  • 10+ years’ experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Experience with Apache Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering
  • Experience in or working closely with the US Military
  • Experience identifying and documenting Risks, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO)
  • Knowledge of Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)

Responsibilities

  • Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for highly complex or difficult projects, programs and change driven activities to execute in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), determines scope, reports, and oversight of planning requests.
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
  • Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules.
  • Consults and recommends integrated planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry.
  • Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders.
  • Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels.
