About The Position

The Senior Project Leader – Inventory Champion is responsible for overseeing, optimizing, and transforming inventory management processes across the Home Energy business. This role blends deep functional supply chain expertise with advanced analytical capability to improve Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), reduce excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory, and strengthen end‑to-end material availability. Operating with minimal supervision, the Inventory Champion will lead complex, cross‑functional projects; act as a change agent for key supply‑chain initiatives; and develop sustainable processes, tools, and governance that elevate inventory performance across the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field required.
  • 6+ years of experience in Inventory Management, Master Scheduling, Supply Planning, or related functions, with experience in at least two Supply Chain disciplines.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous requests.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with SAP and Kinaxis RapidResponse preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the inventory management playbook, ensuring alignment with business objectives and inventory-health targets.
  • Identify, create, and lead complex supply‑chain projects and broad‑scope initiatives focused on inventory optimization and systemic improvement.
  • Design and optimize inventory‑related supply chain processes, incorporating industry benchmarking and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, and other Supply Chain partners to build and maintain a monthly Inventory Projection Report (IPR) aligned with the 15‑month SIOP cycle.
  • Utilize advanced functional knowledge of data validation, extraction, manipulation, and cross‑platform integration using Power BI, Kinaxis Maestro, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Provide proactive reporting and analytics to senior leadership during SIOP reviews and throughout the month, including root‑cause and corrective‑action analysis.
  • Own the calculation, proposal, and maintenance of safety stock levels based on demand variability, lead time, and service goals.
  • Ensure proper MRP parameter governance and replenishment strategies across SAP and related planning systems.
  • Leverage deep understanding of supply‑chain disciplines to support end‑to-end inventory accuracy and reliability.
  • Serve as a change agent for supply‑chain initiatives aligned with the Strategic Plan, including DIO improvement, E&O prevention, and process standardization.
  • Apply process‑improvement methodologies and tools to eliminate waste and elevate operational performance.
  • Provide training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing related to inventory metrics, standard processes, and project‑management best practices.
