About The Position

As Senior Project Landscape Architect at KCI, you will plan, design, and manage landscape architecture projects, which includes producing design documents, interacting with clients, and overseeing project implementation. This position required a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and effective communication skills. The key responsibilities of this role include: Project and Task Management Manage the work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as required. Meet bi-weekly (or more frequently as necessary) with management to review marketing results. Chart and provide task performance results. Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required. Prepare inter-practice agreements and/or outside requests as required. Provide input for monthly progress reports for all tasks. Project Execution and Technical Oversight: Draft, review, and produce accurate and attractive report graphics. Draft, review, and seal all plans and plats required for assigned projects. Ensure effective use of equipment and personnel within budget parameters. Provide technical oversight for projects and staff. Review research materials from Federal, state and local agencies. Compare field data to base plan and design plans. Conduct field construction observations and prepare detailed reports of findings for review. Conduct project site research and analysis to determine potential project density and intensity and identify development constraints. Conduct site visits and gather data. Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review and approval. Prepare preliminary concept designs for submit and approval. Training, Development, and Compliance: Mentor and train staff. Comply with all KCI policies and procedures. Ensure projects comply with ISO standards. Conduct and submit timely annual Employee Performance Appraisals for assigned staff. Financial Management and Reporting: Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope. Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters. Assist with receivables management. Achieve or exceed budgets individual utilization targets. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring Landscape Architecture projects.
  • Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • R.L.A. License
