Job Summary: Salas O’Brien is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (multiple openings) responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities. May work remotely 2 days / week from anywhere in the United States.
Requirements
- U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related engineering field
- Two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
- Experience with modeling building structures with Revit
- Experience modeling and analyzing building structures with Ram Structural System and Ram Elements
- Experience with analyzing and designing building foundations, including drilled piers, spread footings, mat slabs, and piles
- Experience analyzing and designing building superstructures, including wood frames, load-bearing concrete masonry, and steel and concrete frames.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and design structural elements, including concrete footing and pier foundations, and structural wood, steel, concrete, and concrete masonry structures.
- Analyze load distribution throughout the superstructure and foundation elements.
- Using AutoCAD and Revit to visualize and create the necessary plans and details pertinent to the development of the structural design.
- Determine design loads on structures, including seismic, wind, soil, and gravity loads.
- Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
