About The Position

The Senior Project Engineer assists with both the operational and financial management of engineering, fabrication and operations of gas turbines, gas turbine packages and their ancillary equipment. This position will also assist in the design, fabrication and testing of new products such as reciprocating engine packages and battery energy storage systems. The role is a dynamic mix of technical expertise, project management, and strategic leadership, aimed at the cost-effective delivery of innovative products that drive company success.

Requirements

  • Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, and any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Proficiency in spoken English language.
  • Daily in-person, predictable attendance required.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required. Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Renewable Energies required.
  • Power Generation Background required.
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in engineering and project management of mechanical and electrical equipment required.
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Clear and concise ability to articulate ideas.
  • Proficient in cultivating meaningful and productive relationships, emphasizing interpersonal understanding and collaboration.
  • Strong comprehension of business principles and strategies enabling informed decision making
  • Substantial experience in managing operations in the relevant field ensuring effective coordination and workflow.
  • Must excel in matrix and startup-oriented environments and exhibit qualities of self-motivation and innovative, out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage the engineering and manufacturing of new equipment and upgrades.
  • Communicate and interface with other functional groups within the network of internal companies including Project Management, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Quality and Field Support as needed.
  • Maintain schedule to assure on time deliveries.
  • Perform essential reviews of new and old designs and related equipment.
  • Manage the modifications and upgrades of existing equipment.
  • Red line engineered drawings where applicable.
  • Evaluate new products and new product implementation.
  • Aid operations with installation and commissioning of newly designed gas turbine packages and other equipment.
  • Be the liaison between shop personnel and engineering.
  • Conduct work in accordance with safety rules, standard operating procedures, and workplace.
  • Evaluate operational readiness of newly designed gas turbine packages and related equipment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful business operations and business continuity.
