About The Position

Senior Project Engineer – Defense (Onsite) We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Santa Clarita, CA to lead defense-related engineering projects. Must be proficient in Microsoft Project and experienced in managing schedules aligned with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Collaborate across teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience (defense or aerospace preferred).
  • Proven experience managing technical projects with MS Project.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to organize diverse technical teams and drive results under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering teams in executing project plans in alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Track and report project progress using MS Project , identifying schedule variances and cost impacts.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports to guide engineering activities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support product development.
  • Evaluate design proposals, specifications, and manuals to ensure technical and cost feasibility.
  • Develop and monitor production plans, fabrication methods, and product operations.
  • Define system components and modifications to meet design and performance requirements.
  • Design and implement testing procedures, control apparatus, and validation processes.
  • Investigate and resolve equipment or system malfunctions, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Support installation, operation, and maintenance of systems to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Assist in estimating project costs, preparing bids, and developing related technical documentation.
  • Promote safety, reliability, and process improvement across all engineering activities.
