About The Position

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our National Mission Critical team! Do you bring at least 2+ years of successful commercial construction experience in a design-build environment? Do you enjoy working in a fast, fun, inclusive and collaborative work space? Are you looking to learn more about field and office operations while working on a construction project site and assisting Project Managers and Superintendents? Some things you can expect to do: Develop a working understanding of budgets, schedules, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, change orders and other management tools. Assume responsibility and communicate effectively with all internal and external customers. Support Project Managers and Superintendents with various project related tasks. Assist in Owner change pricing; prepare billings and review invoices. Monitor assigned subcontracts, subcontractor schedules relative to material deliveries and subcontractor manpower. Travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction
  • Willingness to travel as needed to execute projects
  • Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Have Mission Critical Data Center project experience.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
  • Have knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing
  • Have experience in Construction Management Software (i.e. Procore)
  • Design-build commercial construction experience
  • Have process proven knowledge of complex mission critical MEP systems.
