The Senior Project Engineer reports to a Managing Director or Director and is responsible for daily project activities, quality control, and delivery.
Oversee and perform all project phases from design to contract document and specification production, shop drawing checks, site visitation, and project closeout with general oversite.
Plan, direct, and monitor all design aspects of projects.
Make civil engineering design decisions independently and elevates complicated design decisions to the Project Manager / Senior Project Manager.
Directs and coordinates the workload with the assigned project team.
Coordinates with other internal and/or external team members.
Excellent technical knowledge within the field of civil engineering.
Coordinates, writes and/or edits specifications as applied to civil engineering.

Thorough understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning codes, and approval processes related to civil engineering.
Thorough understanding of building systems and site requirements related to civil engineering (Structural, MEP, Civil & Geo-Tech).
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
8 years of experience, with at least 5 years focused on shopping centers, big box retail centers, mixed-use projects, fueling centers, restaurants, banks, roll-out programs, and commercial projects.
