About The Position

Qualis LLC is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with 25+ years of experience and deep expertise in RF Engineering and Electronic Warfare (EW) to lead complex, mission-critical defense programs. This role requires a seasoned technical leader with a strong record of delivering advanced RF/EW systems and maintaining trusted strategic relationships with US Army and other DoD Armed Services customers. Essential Duties: RF & Electronic Warfare Technical Leadership Serve as the technical authority for RF, EW, and spectrum-dependent systems, including sensing, jamming, protection, and electronic attack/support capabilities. Lead system architecture, design trades, waveform analysis, and performance optimization for RF/EW solutions. Oversee integration, test, verification, and validation of RF/EW systems in laboratory and operational environments. Provide expert guidance on threat systems, CONOPS, and evolving EW mission requirements. Project & Program Execution Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams delivering complex RF/EW programs from concept through fielding. Partner with program management to manage cost, schedule, technical risk, and configuration control. Support proposal development, capture strategy, and technical volumes for Army and other DoD customers. Drive successful execution of design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), test readiness reviews, and customer demonstrations. Strategic DoD Customer Engagement Serve as a primary technical interface with U.S. Army Program Executive Offices (PEOs), Program Managers (PMs), and other DoD Armed Services customers. Maintain and grow long-standing strategic relationships with government stakeholders, primes, and partners. Support customer road-mapping, requirements shaping, and early engagement activities. Represent the company at technical interchange meetings (TIMs), program reviews, and industry forums. Mentorship & Organizational Leadership Mentor engineers in RF, EW, and systems engineering disciplines. Establish engineering standards, best practices, and lessons learned across programs. Contribute to long-term technical strategy and capability development in RF and EW. Foster a culture of technical rigor, mission focus, and ethical execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, RF Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 25+ years of progressive experience in RF engineering and Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex defense programs and RF/EW development efforts.
  • Deep understanding of RF systems, spectrum operations, EW threats, and countermeasures.
  • Proven experience engaging directly with U.S. Army and other DoD Armed Services customers.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in classified and high-reliability environments

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF, or related field.
  • Active or eligible DoD TS security clearance.
  • Experience supporting Army EW programs, PEOs, or Program Offices.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, test organizations, and fielding pathways.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
