As our Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible to provide leadership on traffic engineering projects. You will coordinate with and provide support to other functional groups within WSB and be involved with traffic engineering projects throughout our footprint. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school
  • 10 years of experience in Transportation engineering or related field. TxDOT project experience preferred
  • TX PE license or the ability to obtain their license within six months
  • Prepare, read and understand construction plans and technical documents and have a functional understanding of design software packages, preferably MicroStation
  • Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic will allow you to excel in this position
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week
  • Ability to work in the posted location
  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment. Occasional travel or field visits may be required to support

Nice To Haves

  • TxDOT project experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for our public and private clients
  • Collaborate with other groups/ disciplines within the company to deliver top quality projects and unparalleled service to our clients
  • Perform design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation
  • Compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos and specifications for projects
  • Assist with proposals, project budgets and schedules, planning activities, and public involvement and other presentation opportunities
  • Oversee the work of EITs or Technicians
