About The Position

The purpose of the Senior Project Engineer position is to assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day technical management of the project. This includes coordination of detailed design, schedule, procurement and stage gate process (P&ID review, Hazop, Model Reviews, Safety Reviews). The project engineer provides critical value to the organization by ensuring the project stays on track to achieve its business goals. Requirements

  • Proven technical knowledge in multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of FEL/Stage/Gate project management methodology (PEMBOK), and Project Management software and tools (including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS project, Primavera).
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to travel 20-40% as required for site visits, shop visits, Coordination with Engineering Contractors, QA/QC support, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engineering efforts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced degree in engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform project engineering activities.
  • Support the Project Manager in all aspects of the project both in the office and the field.
  • Coordinate Discipline Engineering between internal engineers and EPC partners to ensure completeness and timeliness.
  • Handle the day-to-day detailed management of the project schedule.
  • Handle the day-to-day transactional process of purchase and invoices.
  • Manage the document control process.
  • Manage all the design reviews including HAZOP/PSR and PSSR process.
  • Coordinate with Construction and Commissioning Program Managers on Manpower Requirements.
  • Planning and implementation of commissioning.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on their assigned projects.
