About The Position

The Project Engineer III is a senior technical expert and project leader responsible for overseeing complex engineering assignments, guiding cross-functional teams, and ensuring the technical excellence of deliverables. This role plays a key part in client engagement, staff mentorship, project strategy, and business development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Construction, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in engineering design, project management, and client interaction.
  • Proficiency in technical software and tools used in the engineering discipline.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and business acumen.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of complex engineering projects across disciplines or regions.
  • Oversee full project lifecycles including budgeting, risk mitigation, technical delivery, and quality assurance.
  • Prepare, review, and sign off on technical reports, calculations, and design documents.
  • Perform the investigation and analysis of residential, commercial and industrial properties to resolve claims and legal matters.
  • Conduct forensic engineering investigations of buildings and other structures for a wide variety of problems including structural damage, roof damage, moisture intrusion, interior water damage, settlement and other foundation problems, construction defects, general building material failures, and storm related damage.
  • Prepare reports to document the causes of failure and/or damage.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing performance feedback and coaching.
  • Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, safety, quality, and regulatory expectations.
  • Interface directly with clients, regulatory agencies, and senior leadership to ensure project alignment and client satisfaction.
  • Identify business opportunities and contribute to strategic project pursuits and proposals.
  • Drive innovation, process improvements, and integration across departments or offices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
