About The Position

As a member of UL Solutions’ Energy Storage Advisory team within the North American Renewables business, the Senior Project Engineer provides technical and commercial due-diligence support for Independent Engineering (IE) and Technical Advisory (TA) projects across energy storage, solar + storage, and hybrid renewable portfolios. This position supports project financing, tax equity, sales, and acquisition transactions by evaluating project contracts, financial models, technical designs, and documentation to assess risk, performance, and bankability. The Senior Project Engineer integrates input from multidisciplinary teams to deliver consistent, high-quality advisory reports for clients that include lenders, developers, and investors.

Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals.
• Commercial awareness and communication skills.
• Experience in energy storage, solar + storage, or hybrid renewable portfolios.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in project financing and tax equity transactions.
• Familiarity with technical advisory practices.

Responsibilities
