About the position
The Senior Project Engineer for Bridges will primarily focus on bridge and civil structure projects, while also engaging in various structural projects related to transportation. This role involves managing transportation and infrastructure projects, ensuring effective client interaction, and overseeing a range of engineering responsibilities from design to project management.
Responsibilities
- Bridge design and plan development
- Conduct field investigations and inspections
- Provide repair recommendations
- Perform type studies and preliminary designs
- Develop detailed designs including quantities and construction cost estimating
- Conduct load rating and construction monitoring
- Offer expert opinions related to bridges and civil structures
- Manage transportation and infrastructure projects
- Engage with clients in a forward-facing role
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- Certification as a registered professional engineer (PE) in Ohio
- 15+ years of professional experience
- Experience working on structural bridge design projects in Ohio
- Familiarity with AutoDesk and Bentley products
- Experience with bridge design software such as LARSA, SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, OpenBridge, CsiBridge, MIDAS, AASHTOWARE Bridge Rating, and MDX
- A Master's degree is a plus
