About The Position

GDD offers comprehensive architectural design and land development services—from master planning and detailed architectural plans to owner’s representation and more. As part of the GDD team, you’ll collaborate with a talented group of architecture, engineering, and real estate professionals in a dynamic, creative environment that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth. As a Senior Project Designer, you’ll be at the forefront of the design process—from concept through construction. You’ll lead client relationships, manage complex project teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, creative, and buildable design solutions. This is a leadership role for someone who combines technical excellence, a strong design sensibility, and strategic thinking.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in architectural design and project management
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design leadership on built work
• Experience in commercial office, retail, multi-family, mixed-use, and industrial projects
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with efficiency and clarity
• Expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualization tools
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills
• Proven experience leading project teams and mentoring staff

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of projects from initial concept through construction administration
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and delivering creative architectural solutions
• Manage project teams, schedules, budgets, and resources across multiple projects
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of learning and design excellence
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure cohesive project delivery
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, zoning, and building standards
• Participate in site visits, construction meetings, RFIs, and problem-solving during construction
