The Project Controls Specialist will work at the Duncan office and provide planning and project controls support to the project and proposal teams. The Project Controls Specialist will provide guidance throughout the proposal efforts and project execution. They will serve as a member of the proposal and project teams and assist in the overall execution of the project. This position will report to the Project Controls Manager. Additionally, the Project Controls Specialist will provide pre-planning, estimating, and other project management support from the corporate office. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timelines are met. Proposal Support: Contribute to proposal development efforts by providing project controls expertise. Assist in cost estimations and project planning for proposals, considering resource requirements and scheduling constraints. Collaborate with the proposal team to ensure accurate and competitive proposals. Project Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules. Create and maintain project schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). Identify critical path activities, milestones, and dependencies to ensure accurate project sequencing. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of project budgets by analyzing cost estimates, resource requirements, and procurement plans. Contribute to cost estimates for proposal development, considering project requirements and constraints. Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting any deviations from the budget. Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and propose strategies for cost optimization. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish project performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project progress. Collect and analyze project data, including scope changes, resource utilization, and schedule variances. Prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate project performance to stakeholders. Risk Analysis and Management: Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams. Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to determine the probability and impact of risks. Monitor and track identified risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing appropriate contingency plans as needed. Change Control: Oversee a change control process to manage project scope changes, ensuring proper documentation and approval. Evaluate the impact of change requests on project schedules, costs, and resources. Collaborate with project teams to develop strategies for managing changes while minimizing disruptions. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, field supervision, and other stakeholders to provide project controls support and guidance. Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders, both verbally and in written reports. Facilitate project review meetings and participate in discussions to address project control-related concerns.
