About The Position

As a Senior Project Controls Specialist on the Instrumentation and Controls Systems team, you will be responsible for leading and integrating cost and schedule controls within defined standards and consistent practices. You will work closely with project teams on the compilation, assessment, and documentation of project costs, schedules, and associated monitoring and reporting required at various stages of the projects. Advanced skills in communication, cross-cultural awareness, and leadership are essential. You will report to the Manager of ICS Project Controls and be located at our Warrendale, PA facility. This position is eligible for a mobile working arrangement and will be expected on site 2-3 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of project controls experience in the nuclear industry or similar technical environment.
  • Experience in both cost control and scheduling, with additional experience in risk management and change control considered beneficial.
  • Knowledge of project controls, reporting, and engineering controls; previous experience working with different business systems and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and plan all project controls aspects of a project, including baseline schedule development, resource loading, risk register integration, and project baselines.
  • Apply project controls tools and techniques (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Excel) to optimize project performance and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and controlling both cost and schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support forecast estimation and verify the accuracy of actual progress and expenditures against planned milestones and budgets.
  • Align schedules and budgets to provide time-phased forecasts and integrated project metrics.
  • Analyze schedule and cost data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the project team by attending meetings and working collaboratively with others.
  • Present project status, deviations, and root causes at project and management reviews.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication, including maintenance and dissemination of project metrics to ensure team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of project status.
  • Serve as the project controls point of contact for internal and external customers in support of successful project execution through completion.
  • Integrate project objectives and actions through participation with other project groups in matters of common concern.
