About The Position

McBride Homes is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Architect to join our architecture team. The ideal candidate will have heavy experience in residential designs, a passion for innovation, and strong leadership skills. As a Senior Project Architect, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of residential project designs, collaborating with internal clients, designers, engineers, and construction staff. Requirements

  • Registered Architect or Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain licensure in the State of Missouri within 6 months of hiring
  • 10+ years of experience in architectural design, 5 years minimum residential experience
  • Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid understanding of residential building codes and zoning ordinances

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design and development of residential architectural projects from concept to completion
  • Develop detailed architectural plans, construction drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate with in-house land development, design, estimating, purchasing, engineers, and field staff
  • Proficiency in CAD software and ability to teach software libraries and efficiencies
  • Quality control of all work by others and self-performed work
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure design compliance
