About The Position

This position requires a highly experienced professional with 10-15+ years of requisite experience in architecture and design. The individual will lead all phases of the design process, ensuring adherence to firm and project goals while maintaining a high standard of excellence in design, project management, and execution. The role involves overseeing project documentation, quality control, and coordination among various internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will also be responsible for client communication, regulatory reviews, and mentoring staff, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Requirements

  • 10-15+ years of requisite experience in architecture and design.
  • Professional licensure required.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or related discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • LEED GA within 6 months of hire.
  • Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design (e.g., LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Consultant/Designer).

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of the design process with proficiency and expertise.
  • Understand and respond to technical implications, design decisions, and project financial goals.
  • Lead and participate in project documentation development and production of deliverable drawings and specifications.
  • Oversee and manage Quality Control reviews for conformance with firm standards and project design intent.
  • Direct project Quality Assurance efforts and ensure adherence to Perkins&Will standards.
  • Accountable for effective project coordination among internal disciplines and external consultants.
  • Communicate with clients regarding project technical matters.
  • Oversee project regulatory reviews and coordination with authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Ensure effective team performance in construction contract administration responsibilities.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving building technology and engineering systems.
  • Contribute to project marketing pursuits, proposal preparation, and interviews.
  • Lead collaborative teams in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
  • Mentor staff and provide oversight of assignments.
