About The Position

Carnegie Mellon University seeks a Senior Project Analyst in Pittsburgh, PA to support the Campus Design and Facility Development Department and assist the Senior Director of Planning and Construction to design, construct, and acquire teaching/learning/research spaces for CMU’s students, faculty, and staff. Specific duties include: (i) leading assigned projects through conceptual design, construction, bid, and closeout phases as well as analyzing and reporting of the overall project portfolio; (ii) collecting, managing, and analyzing data for implementation, improving processes, and reporting to senior management; (iii) planning the workflow for a project, including estimating time, budgeting, and gathering supplies and personnel; and (iv) ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and with applicable national and local codes/standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Design, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a directly related position in higher education construction project management.
  • Two (2) years of experience with building reports from datasets and identifying relevant specifications.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Tableau, Excel, and Project Management Information Systems.
  • Two (2) years of experience with data-driven benchmarking reporting.
  • One (1) year of experience with at least five (5) types of projects: classroom renovations, utility infrastructure upgrades and installation, dorm renovations and new construction, laboratory renovations and builds, state or federally funded capital projects, or academic space planning related studies and projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Ability to complete a successful background check.
