Wood Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Mill Creek Lumber and Supply, is a leading custom millwork manufacturing facility specializing in high-quality wood products for various industries. We are seeking an experienced (maybe job cost accountant???) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in job costing, progress billings,mercial WIP reporting, and forecasting. This role requires expertise in certified payrolls, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and payment/performance bonds. The Senior Project Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, ensuringpliance, and supporting leadership with financial insights. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee job costing to ensure accurate tracking of project expenses. Track labor, materials, overhead, and subcontractor costs by project or job. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and production staff to ensure correct job setup and cost coding. Oversee monthly progress billings, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing. Prepare monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports, including revenue recognition and cost analysis. Oversee certified payroll reporting and ensurepliance with prevailing wage requirements. Develop and maintain financial forecasts for projects, providing insights on profitability and cash flow. Coordinate with bonding agencies to manage payment and performance bonds. Ensurepliance withmercial insurance requirements and assist with risk management. Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including vendor payments, collections, and reconciliations. Review monthly inventory reports to ensure accuracy and proper cost allocation and identify large variances. Work closely with project managers to monitor budgets, identify cost variances, and improve financial performance. Assist with audits, month-end close, and financial reporting. Qualifications Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably in construction, engineering, or a similar industry. Strong kledge of GAAP, job costing, and revenue recognition. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, andmunication skills.
